Three Small Doors

A quieter way through your days, without retelling your story, keeping a streak or starting all over again.

One question a night, answered at whatever size you have left: without having to become more disciplined, without an app and without a subscription.

Yes, I want quieter days

Read the first seven nights free, further down this page.

You did the work. You're still tired.

You understand why you're like this, and you still feel the same

You can name the pattern and where it came from. Knowing it hasn't made the evenings any lighter.

You keep going all day and have nothing left by night

By the time the house goes quiet, one more thing to do properly is one thing too many.

You start journals and feel worse when you stop

Two weeks in, a bad few days arrive. The blank pages stay in the drawer, and so does the guilt.

You keep explaining your story, and you're tired of it

You've told it to people, to books and to pages. You don't want to go through it again tonight.

What changes when the journal fits the night you've had

You stop feeling behind

Nothing has a date, so there's no day you can miss.

You write something even on the worst days

One word is a full entry. Some nights, that's the whole job.

You stop explaining yourself

The questions are about today. Your history can stay where it is.

You stop deciding what to write

The question is already there when you open the page.

You come back without guilt

Stop for a week or a month. There's nothing to catch up on.

You have one thing you can't do badly

No score, no reminders and nobody checking.

Why other journals stop working

Understanding was never the last step

Most journals count your days and expect the same effort from you each night. Then a hard week comes, you fall behind, and it feels like proof you can't do this either.

You didn't lack discipline. The calendar was the problem. How much you have to give changes from one night to the next, so the size of what you write should change with it.

Three Small Doors is a guided digital journal built on that idea. It isn't therapy and it doesn't replace it. It's one question a night, on your phone or printed at home, for a year.

Printed journal pages held by a clip on a wooden table

The Three Doors

One question. Three sizes. You choose tonight.

What is one thing you got through today?

The Word Door · 30 seconds

Bins.

The Sentence Door · 2 minutes

I got through the phone call I'd been putting off.

The Page Door · 5 minutes

A page on the call, who it was with and how the rest of the afternoon went.

Each one counts in full. No door is better than another.

How it works

1

Open tonight's page

On your phone in bed, or printed. No app and no reminders.

2

Pick the door you have energy for

A word, a sentence or a page. You decide each night.

3

Close it and go to sleep

That's all. Tomorrow you can do the same, or not.

Free, before you pay

Try the first seven nights

Questions

I've tried journalling before and given up. Why would this be different?

Most journals expect the same effort every day. Here you choose the size each night, and one word counts in full. If you stop for a while, the Come-Back Page takes you back in, with nothing to catch up on.

Do I have to write about what happened to me?

No. The questions are about today and how you are now. None of them asks you to go back through past events or retell your story.

Is this therapy, or a replacement for it?

No. It's a journal. It doesn't treat or diagnose anything, and it doesn't replace professional care. If you're in therapy and want to take something from it to a session, the Session Bridge helps with that.

What if I'm having a very hard time right now?

If you're in crisis or worried about your safety, please reach out now. In the UK, call Samaritans free on 116 123, or call 999 in an emergency. This journal isn't built for moments like that.

I can find journal prompts free online. What am I paying for?

The order, the three sizes and not having to choose. You can read the first seven nights above and judge for yourself before paying.

Is it a subscription? Do I need an app?

Neither. You pay once and download PDFs that open on your phone or print at home. You sign in to a simple download area to get them. There are no reminders or tracking.

When do I get it?

The First 30 Nights is available as soon as you pay. The Long Way Round and the gifts unlock in your download area within 48 hours.

What if it isn't for me?

You have 30 days. Send one line and we refund you in full. You keep the pages.

Tonight can be one word

That's enough to begin, and it's enough on the nights that follow.
